making networking fun & easy for introverts
come to my online birthday party this friday 17th of october!
Hello love,
Something’s good is happening this week : I’m turning 42. To celebrate, I’m hosting an online birthday party and you’re invited!! RSVP here.
Now this may seem unusual coming from an introvert like me, but let me tell you how the idea was born.
I really wanted to celebrate with my community in a way that felt meaningful. More meaningful that throwing a bunch of discounts at you.
And I know that as highly sensitive and introverted people, one of the most difficult (yet essential) things for us in business is networking. Especially in its traditional form..
Meeting new people, getting over the first awkward moments of inevitable small talk, repeating the same elevator pitch again and again… No thank you!
I’d much rather spend a nice relaxed hour with a handful of group of thoughtful people, skip the surface and actually get to know each other, beyond names, countries and job titles!
Enter my short & sweet online birthday event. If you’re an introverted, highly sensitive woman in business, you love birthdays and you’re free on October 17th at 2pm CET, I’d love for you to join!
How does it work?
Meet & Greet: Bring your favourite drink and snack. We’ll hang out for an hour, no small talk, promise.
Bring 5 questions: Networking becomes magic when we ask meaningful questions. Skip the elevator pitch and come ready to spark conversation. (Need ideas? Pinterest can help!)
Party favours: I love surprises — especially when I get to give them! You’ll receive a small digital goodie bag for introverts and highly sensitive entrepreneurs, crafted with love.
Traditional networking has always felt… boring and transactional to me.
You know the kind: a crowded room full of people in corporate clothes, rehearsed smiles, and a stack of business cards ready to hand out.
Some people thrive in that environment, and that’s wonderful for them. But for many of us, connection has to feel genuine, light, real, and safe.
At its heart, networking is simply about building relationships, one authentic conversation at a time. And that, my love, is something we’re naturally good at.
So, what creative ways can you find to connect with your people?
I’m endlessly grateful for this small, tender community we’ve built here on Substack. I can’t wait to meet more of you, to hear your stories, and to keep shaping this space together.
The birthday party is one step in that direction, and if you can make it live, I’d love for you to join us.
Thank you for being part of this adventure.
Power and light,
Jessica

I love this idea. I’ve never liked going to traditional networking events.
I won't be able to join (darn you, work!) but wanted to tell you, "Happy birthday!" Doing just what you want to do is a GREAT way to celebrate.
