Are you a highly sensitive person with a mission, an ambition to share your passions and skills with the world? Do you want at the same time to keep honouring who you are and the other aspects of you life that deeply matter to you too?
You have a arrived, my dear one.
Take a seat, let me bring you some tea.
I’ll tell you everything about what you’ll find here and what I can do for you.
are you feeling inadequate too?
I’ve been walking the roads of the online business world since 2017. I knew nothing about anything when I started, and so I’ve had to learn it all.
I was eager and open-hearted.
I took courses upon courses, trainings, workshops. I read hundreds of book: marketing, positioning, email marketing, money, memberships, branding, webinars, launching, sales strategy, sales mindset, content strategy, blogging, social media, copywriting…
There are a lot of resources out there.
But every time I opened a book or started a course… the same sensations would show up in my body. A tightening in my lower belly. A constriction in my throat. A subtle shift in my energy.
Inadequacy.
All of these theories, the rules, the manipulating techniques and stories of rich-born people trying to get richer, losing it all before building empires thanks to this incredibly simple method they are now selling for a couple of hundred dollars…
They pressed on my feelings of inadequacy. On my suspicions that this business world of shark eat shark isn’t for me.
That me and my dreams are too fragile. That we should slip out the back door and hide far, far away and forget we ever dared to believe we could ever make it.
finding my way
I did hide for a long time.
I tried to make myself into something tougher than I truly was, but felt every failure like something personal.
I tried to make my voice louder so I’d be heard in an already-saturated era of social media and digital content, but what I truly wanted was to grow quieter.
I crammed my days with projects and to-do lists that would help me break-through even when my entire being was shouting “stop”.
When my second baby was born, I took three tiny weeks off before swapping nursing pads for baby formula and dressing again for the part of the unshakeable businesswoman.
I collected the applause. Many times, I’d get dms from my online colleagues saying “You’re my hero, I don’t know how you do it.” I didn’t know how I did it either. I thought I didn’t have a choice but to power through.
Anxiety started building up.
I watched other people show their hilarious content, their gorgeous lives, their smart strategies and glow on stage like they had been breastfed until teenagehood. Like they were all in on a secret way to live, a secret way to be successful, a secret that I didn’t know but I should know.
I forced myself to make funny reels on Instagram, and then I’d break up in tears.
It all felt so fake.
Surely, I kept thinking, I’m not the only one feeling this way.
That’s when I realised that if I kept pretending, I would be forever part of the problem.
I would continue participating in the matrix. I’d keep intact the illusion that we all have our shit together, and I’d feed the not-enoughness of others who — just like me — are too sensitive, caring, and genuine to be able to wear a mask without it chipping away pieces of their soul.
I learned that the answer was not to make myself stronger. It was to soften.
To show my imperfections, my doubts, my insecurities. To talk about the anxiety and the inadequacy. To reconnect with the safety within my body. To ditch all the rules that I had taken at a sacred path to success. To question the very term “success”. To design my own perfect picture, so that I can live off my passion(s) and enjoy my every day life as I get there.
I decided to embrace and show my shadows.
And in these shadows, light a candle for those who want to walk this path with me.
